Casa Natura. Origin and Principles.

Casa Natura was born more than 30 years ago out of the founders' love and passion for travel. Established in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Casa Natura consciously chooses those artisan suppliers who know and value the same principles as we do, not only environmentally oriented (respect for the richness and diversity of the communities where they trade, use of recycled and sustainable natural materials), but also with special consideration for human respect through the absence of dangerous labour practices, equal treatment for men and women, and the firm refusal of child labour, among others. 

 We began this exciting journey in the early 92's, perhaps anticipating what is today a booming trend, fashion accessories and vintage style decoration. Unique and different models from each other, from the most exotic places in the world. This means that our handmade furniture and decorative items are all different from each other, making them unbeatable and special pieces to decorate every corner of your home. 

A few years later, and with an eagerness to improve every day, we decided to expand our portfolio, including handbags made under the same principles and quality standards. 

But how did we create bags that reflected care for the environment, and at the same time offered quality, style and trend? Through our countless travels, we found suppliers that were a perfect match for what we had in mind. 

It wasn't just about converting materials and objects into new, more valuable ones. Upcycling, a very important term within sustainable fashion, is very present in the world of accessories and specifically within Casa Natura. A good example are the bags made from recycled fabrics from military tents. 

Bags made from recycled materials can be made from leftover fabric stocks, as is the case with many Casa Natura models. One of the advantages of backpacks and bags made from recycled materials is that they are usually very original pieces that are made in very limited quantities. They are made with the materials available, making the most of them, which also makes them unique bags.

Each bag is intended to be original and unique, even with colour variations which, in the case of the use of military tent fabrics, can range from dark green to light brown, or a combination of both with many intentional stains; humidity, previous use, each and every one of them as part of their unique history and that, now, begins to be part of yours. 

Without a doubt we can affirm that Casa Natura is an ethical and sustainable fashion project that was born to improve the living conditions of men and women linked to the textile and decoration sector.
